Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) 30 Caliber Ammunition Pouch for the Bay of Pigs Invasion

These ammunition pouches were manufactured for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) specifically for the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba that failed.

They were designed to hold four clips of 30 caliber ammunition for the M1 carbine but were never used.

The pouches were purposely constructed of a poor-quality nubby cotton material, dyed an unusual shade of green and lacked any identifying stamps or labels to prevent the invaders equipment from being traced back to the U.S. Government!

An extraordinary relic from the Cold War!
