CHECKPOINT CHARLIETM has successfully recreated the distinctive Ridgway cap!
Although never officially issued to the U.S. Army, the Ridgway cap was worn with pride by American soldiers during the 1950s including Elvis Presley and Jimmie Hendricks! In 1959, the cap gained world-wide attention when Fidel Castro, the famed Cuban revolutionary, adopted it for himself.
We purposely manufactured the cap in ten numerical sizes, just like ‘the originals’ back then, to ensure a perfect fit!
TEN SIZES take up a LOT more room at our warehouse, but when you select the size that fits just right, you'll feel it!
Choose Olive Drab, Black or Multi-Cam, the current U.S. Army style camouflage pattern.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD TO BEST DETERMINE THE CORRECT CAP SIZE:
Please follow these simple instructions:
First, place a flexible tape measure at the back of your head and join the two ends together at the center of your forehead, an inch above your eyebrows.
The tape should be 'snug and comfortable’, but NOT tight.
Better yet, ask someone who you know is handy doing this sort of thing to help you.

"Unlike the soft current issue U.S. Army patrol cap or a U.S. Marine Corps or U.S. Navy utility cap- or even a classic American baseball cap, all of which fit snuggly on the head, the CHECKPOINT CHARLIETM Ridgway cap fits differently.
The Ridgway cap's structured design rests higher on the head because the construction of the crown is shallower. It's not intended to be pulled down tight for a snug fit. Instead, the Ridgway rests on the upper portion of the head.
