Swedish Army WWII Issue Leather Tanker’s Helmet, new unissued

When we purchased these years ago, we were told that due to the peculiar construction of the Swedish Army tanks at the time, the crew members inside would continuously hit their heads against the steel interior as they traversed the terrain! 

Yet rather than correct what was clearly a design flaw, the Swedes added a padded crown to the tanker’s helmet to lessen the impact for the unfortunate soldiers inside!
