U.S. Army Tent Candle, World War II Issue

Mr. Kaufman says:

"We knew we had these somewhere but couldn't find them. 

Then just recently, they made their presence known when the carton on the top shelf they were stored in fell apart caused by a water leak from the ceiling and the candles rained down on our heads!

Each candle is 2” in diameter and contained in its own olive drab enclosure and raised 5/8” along the side.

We're told that the wax contains insect repellent to keep the bugs away as the candle burns.

The surface of the wax may appear a little battered, but you might appear a little battered yourself if you were stored away for 75 years!"
