U.S. Army M1967 OG-106 Nylon Shovel Cover, Vietnam War Issue, dated 1969

The M1967 OG-106 nylon shovel cover replaced the M1956 cotton duck shovel cover.

It was designed to fit the new tri-fold shovel introduced late in the War as part of the Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (LLCE).

Stamped inside: CARRIER, INTRENCHING TOOL, COLLAPSIBLE, LIGHTWEIGHT (NYLON)

Genuine G.I., new condition.
