U.S. Navy WWII Issue Extreme Cold Weather Deck Helmet

These were worn by American sailors during World War II on the deck aboard ship in the frigid cold weather of the icy Atlantic Ocean.

Wool lined, the long flap on the back protected the neck of the wearer from the elements.

Size 7 ½ (large), mint condition, never issued.
